Maldives Police Service have arrested three for issuing death threats to one of their officers.

Police noted that the three were arrested in Fuvahmulah City, under a court order. The three arrested are Maldivian men of the ages 19, 25 and 31.

They are currently investigation the issue further.

While three were arrested for threatening an officer, a young man was arrested from the same city last Saturday for issuing death threats on social media. Police later confirmed that a 19 year old was arrested for issuing death threats and inciting violence on social media.
