MNDF Coast Guard has provided assistance to a supply vessel that had it’s engine stalled near Thaa Atoll Vilufushi.

The vessel traveling with a crew of four expatriates and a local got stranded north of Vilufushi and reported its situation to the Coast Guard around 6:50 a.m this morning.

MNDF said that the 80-foot vessel is being assisted by the CA Coast Guard Squadron.

The National Meteorological Service has issued a Yellow Weather Alert to the islands from Lhaviyani Atoll to Vaavu Atoll. Authorities have advised caution during sea travel due to recent storm affecting the Maldives.
