State-run IGMH has revealed that one of those injured during the fire incident today has been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
A media official for the hospital noted that nine people were brought to the hospital out of which seven were treated for burn injuries. The official noted that these were five Maldivians and two foreigners.
The official noted that one of the burn victims is now being treated at the ICU while the rest are being treated at the medical ward of the hospital.
During the fire incident today, a launch docked at the T-Jetty in Male' first caught fire which later spread onto four oil bowsers nearby. The launch and all oil bowsers were completely burnt beyond further use or repair.
