Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has arrived in China on an official visit.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Minister Shahid is scheduled to call on Wang Qishan, Vice President of China and Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China and discuss strengthening relations between the two countries.

Minister Shahid will also be meeting Mr. D J Pandian, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and Mr. Li Daosong, President of BUCG International, Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG).

Foreign Minister Shahid is accompanied by Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Secretary, Multilateral, Miuvaan Mohamed, Director of Communications and Maryam Bassama Farooq, Assistant Director.
