Another expatriate has been deported from the Maldives last night.

Maldives Immigration Department revealed that the man named Abu Hanif was from Bangladesh, and noted that he was deported for violating the permit granted by the department to reside in the Maldives. He was deported without a further notice after having been detained at the airport last night.

Immigration also deported another Bangladeshi national who was illegally bringing in expatriate workers to the Maldives.

Immigration said that in a joined operation with the Maldives Police Service, they arrested the man yesterday. They said that the man arrested was MD Shafeequl Islam, 49, also has a business in the Maldives.
