Police conclude operation after raiding 17 places and searching 11 people

Maldives Police Service have concluded their operation triggered by the ongoing investigation into the abduction and murder of Minivan News journalist, Ahmed Rilwan.

Police revealed that the operation was carried out on a request by the Presidential Commission on Deaths and Disappearances. They highlighted that a total of 17 places were raided and 11 people were searched during the operation which was carried out in Male' City and Addu City.

The Crime Investigation Department, Specialist Operations Department and Divisional Police Command were active in the operation.

MNDF had also amped up general security in the areas to assist Police in their operation.
