The man injured in the traffic incident on the Hithadhoo Causway in Addu City on Sunday, has passed away.

The deceased is 47-year-old Ahmed Zareer (Hithadhoo).

The incident took place on the causeway had the driver’s motorcycle lose control and went over on the rocks by the sea. He was treated for severe head trauma at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital before being transferred to Male’ City on Sunday afternoon for further treatment.

Media Official of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) told One Online that Zareer passed away this morning at 8 a.m.

And since the medical team has not reveal the details of his injuries, that information is not available according to the official.

Sources have said that he sustained a brain hemorrhage; bleeding in and around the brain.
