President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has ratified the second amendment made to the Judicial Service Commission Act.

The President’s Office said that with the ratification, the law will be published on the State Gazette.

Amendments made to the act include qualification of JSC members, appointment of Presidents and Vice President of JSC, authorities of the commission and its investigative bodies and the conditions to meet when investigating.

The parliament passed the amendment at parliament session on 21 August 2019.
