The report prepared by the Presidential Commission investigating deaths and disappearances regarding the disappearance and death of Minivan News journalist, Ahmed Rilwan, has been presented the Speaker of the Parliament, the former President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed.

The report was presented to the Speaker of the Parliament by the President of the Presidential Commission, Husnu Suood after meeting Speaker Nasheed at the Parliament.

At a press conference yesterday, Suood revealed parts of the report saying that Rilwan was kidnapped by an extremist group who took him out to sea and killed him.

Following Suood’s revelation, Nasheed took to twitter saying that the “dark state” that has its claws on the country has to be dismantled completely.
