Police has destroyed alcohol valued at over MVR 3.5 million.

Police confirmed that the street value of the alcohol was well over MVR 3.5 million.

They revealed that these items were confiscated in relation to cases submitted by the Drug Enforcement Department since 2010.

These are 8,267 bottles of alcohol which were confiscated in 689 different cases.

The bottles were destroyed in Dhoonidhoo on Saturday.
