Maldives Customs Service has confiscated a number of books with anti-islamic content.

Speaking to ‘One Online’, media official of Customs revealed that they had confiscated such books which were for sale in Male city, last night.

Even though the official did not disclose the exact location of where they found the books, sources claim that it was during the Novelty Bookfair at Dharubaaruge.

A total of 109 books were confiscated by Customs.

The issue had come to their attention when visitors had posted photos of the books on social media.
