Minister of Health, Abdulla Ameen has called on every Island Councilor to step away from smoking.

Health Minister made the remark yesterday at the signing ceremony held to give the equipment needed to install outdoor gyms in five islands.

Minister Ameen said that being an example of healthy living is very important as those in office. He also called on them to make the best use of the gym equipment.

Highlighting the massive popularity of energy drinks, Minister Ameen said that it is also something that everyone needs to step away from.

The outdoor gym equipment agreements were signed with Thaa Atoll Thimarafushi, Shaviyani Atoll Milandhoo, Haa Alifu Atoll Filladhoo, Alifu Alifu Atoll Rasdhoo and Baa Atoll Thulhaadhoo.
