The Judicial Service Commission submitted to impeach Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Didi, to the parliament.

JSC made the decision unanimously on Tuesday, and submitted the impeachment to the Parliament.

JSC confirmed that during the 57th meeting of the commission, it was decided to submit for the impeachment of the judge.

President of the Commission Abdulla Areef, Vice President of the Commission Masthoor Husnee along with commission members President Mohamed Nasheed, Hissaan Hussain, Abdul Rauf Ibrahim, Ali Shameem and Ibrahim Riffath participated in the meeting.

JSC noted that the written defense provided by Justice Didi prompted no reason to bring any changes to the investigative report that the commission compiled after investigating the case against Justice Didi.
