Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed has met with his Malaysian counterpart, Mohamaddin bin Ketapi during an official visit to Kuala Lumpur.

Tourism Ministry revealed that discussions were held on furthering the bilateral coordination between both countries to develop tourism through mutually beneficial engagements.

Opening ceremony of the fifth World Tourism Conference was held yesterday, organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The theme for the year is "Beyond Tourism, Beyond Expectations".

The Tourism Ministry also revealed that Minister Waheed will be meeting with senior officials of Limkokwing University during the trip. During this meeting, discussions will be held on facilitating human resource development in the hospitality industry for the Tourism Ministry by Limkokwing.
