A senior official of Maldives Reform Movement (MRM) has said that the movement had not drafted any Bills submitted to the Parliament.

Abdul Aleem made the statement via Twitter, after the Deputy Head of Parliament Committee on Economic Affairs and Central Maafannu MP Ibrahim Rasheed said that the Fisheries Bill which is currently being reviewed by the committee was based on the ideology of MRM which is why it is so difficult.

In his tweet, Aleem highlighted MRM had not drafted any of the Bills that have been submitted to the Parliament or President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. He also raised the question as to why it was proving to be difficult since the parliament holds the power to make amendments to the Bill if necessary.
