A protest has been held in HA. Dhidhoo, which called on the five lawmakers representing Haa Alif atoll to speed up works on the Minimum Wage Bill.

Speaking to One Online, a youth of Dhidhoo noted that the protest was held to demand to speed up works of the Minimum Wage Bill and to pass it at the soonest possible in the Parliament. They had also noted that the five lawmakers who represent the atoll in the Parliament had a great responsibility in these works.

The protested was participated by the youth of the island in addition to resort employees who work in the atoll. In addition to them, members of the Tourism Employees Association also took part in the protest.

While a protest has been staged in Dhidhoo regarding the Minimum Wage Bill, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had previously stated that the Bill will be submitted to the Parliament before the end of the current year.
