Ministry of Islamic Affairs has said that there has been no change in status regarding the Maldivian Hajj Pilgrim currently in a coma after having a stoke while on the Hajj Pilgrimage.

The Maldivian who is in a coma after a stroke on Sunday is 38-year-old Seema Mohamed (Faafu Atoll Dharanboodhoo).

The Maldivian Hajj Mission has previously said that the Pilgrim, on the Pilgrimage under the Hajj Corporation, had the stroke while in a tent in Mina, Mecca, and is being treated at Mina Al Wadi Hospital on life support.

While 2000 Maldivians went on the Hajj Pilgrimage this year, they will start returning to the country starting from Sunday.
