A search and rescue mission has been launched after a tourist couple was reported as missing following a snorkeling trip in AA. Moofushi resort.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) today revealed that their Coast Guard Marine Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) received reports of the missing couple around 11:19am.

MNDF also further noted that the couple went snorkeling in the lagoon of the island resort.

A divers team of the coast guard is also active to find the missing couple.
