Central Henveiru MP Ali Azim has said that MDP PG Group is currently discussing the motion of no confidence submitted to the group on Prosecutor General Aishath Bisam, and that a final decision is yet to be reached on the matter.

Fonadhoo MP Moosa Siraj submitted to th ePG to seek a motion of no confidence against PG Bisam.

Speaking to 'One Online', MP Azim said that it has been submitted to hold discussions on the matter and that such things will go according to the due procedure. As such, discussions will also be held with the President of MDP along with the Vice President and Chairperson after which their opinions on the matter will also be shared with the PG of the party.

MP Siraj revealed to 'One Online' that he submitted to seek a motion of no confidence on 22nd of July, after the questions the PG gave during the Judiciary Committee Meeting raised questions about the trust people could put in her.

This is the first time that a no confidence motion is being sought against PG Bisam during the 19th session of the Parliament.
