One Online has signed on as the Online Media Partner for the 2019 edition of the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA).

The agreement was signed yesterday at a special partners signing ceremony held at Maagiri Hotel by the Chairperson of One Online, Minha Faiz Rashaad (Minnu) and the Director of Communications of SATA, Mohamed Shaamin.

Other partners for SATA 2019 include:

  • Maldives Insider as the Travel News Partner
  • The Island Chief as the Tabloid Partner
  • Maldives Business Review as the Business News Partner
  • Digital Studio as the Photography Partner

The SATA 2019 gala is set to take place on 19 and 20 next month at the Amari Galle Hotel in Sri Lanka. The award ceremony is on the 20 September.

The inaugural SATA was held in 2016 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The 2017 edition was held at the Equator Village in Addu City and the 2018 edition was held in Mumbai, India.

SATA is the premier travel and tourism award show in the South Asian region that celebrates the prominent businesses and individuals in the industry. It is also the award show endorsed by most number of countries in the region.

SATA 2019 was officially inaugurated last month in Sri Lanka. The event was attended by participants and important sponsors. This fourth edition of SATA features over 500 nominees from six destinations that consists of Sri Lanka, Maldives, India, Bangladesh Bhutan and Nepal.

While the event has been endorsed by over 17 international travel organizations, SATA has made major progress in the past four years.
