Dhiraagu has introduced revolutionary 5G services in the Maldives, making them the first to introduce such a service in South Asia.

In a press release, Dhiraagu noted that 5G services will be available in three of the most densely populated areas of the country. This includes Male, Villimale, some areas of the Airport, some areas of Addu City and some areas of HDh. Kulhudhuffushi.

They also added that any person with a device that supports 5G will be able to use 5G services without any additional charges through their current sim and noted that even though the number of handsets that support 5G are as of now limited around the globe, they are working to introduce the latest phones to the Maldivian market by working together with global brands.

5G services are currently very limited to a few countries in the world. With the introduction of 5G in the Maldives, we have become the first country in South Asia to introduce 5G services.
