Managing Director of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Company (MITDC), Mohamed Raaidh has revealed that the company had spent MVR 1.9 million on an office of former ruling party, PPM.
Raaidh made the statement during a meeting of Parliament Committee on State Owned Enterprises. However, he added that it was not clear as to which specific office that the MVR 1.9 million from the budget of MITDC was spent on.
Raaidh however asserted that he was able to confirm that the office is a two storey building.
During the committee meeting, Raaidh had shared details of several corruption cases revolving around the company. He also highlighted that the ACC was actively investigating several of these cases as well.
