Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is participating in Health Expo 2026, organised by the Ministry of Health, with a dedicated exhibition stall at Hulhumalé Central Park.
Through its stall, HDC is showcasing its corporate social responsibility initiatives, community development efforts and programmes aimed at promoting family well-being. A key focus is its upcoming Healthy Senior Citizens Programme, for which the public can register during the expo.
The programme aims to reduce loneliness and social isolation among older people while encouraging active and fulfilling lifestyles. Scheduled to begin on 16 November, it will run for one year in monthly batches, with each batch receiving 12 sessions held three days a week.
Activities will include age-appropriate light exercises, walking, stretching and breathing exercises, alongside other social activities.
HDC said the initiative forms part of its efforts to make Hulhumalé a more inclusive and supportive community, while strengthening social connections and reducing isolation among older residents.
The corporation has invited the public to visit its stall during the expo to learn more about the programme and its other community initiatives.
