Kaashidhoo MP Abdulla Jabir has been appointed the leader of Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP).

Jabir was elected as the leader of the party unanimously by the members present during the council meeting of the party held tonight.

Former DRP Leader, Mohamed Nasheed (Colonel) was elected the Deputy Leader along with Male City Council member Mohamed Fishawin.

West Maafannu MP Ahmed Rifau (Bochey) had signed to DRP along with Jabir during an event held tonight.
