A bill to introduce a home schooling program to provide school education at home, based on the extent of children's disabilities and psychological conditions, has been submitted to the People's Majlis.

The first reading of this bill, submitted to the People's Majlis on behalf of the government, was read in today's sitting of the People's Majlis. This bill was submitted to the Majlis by Huraa constituency member Dr. Anara Naeem.

This bill proposes to introduce a home schooling program to provide school education at home based on an assessment made according to the proportion of a student's disability or the extent of their psychological condition, and outlines the conditions and procedures for providing learning opportunities under the program.

The bill states that school education can be provided at home to children with disabilities who are unable to attend school and acquire education. The bill further states that education can be provided under home schooling if physical, psychological, or any other special condition has arisen.

Among the objectives of this bill are to further detail the roles of parents, teachers, and principals in implementing and executing the school education system, and to resolve other difficulties encountered in enforcing the law.

Among other matters included in the bill is a provision for every government school to provide free daily breakfast to children who find it difficult to obtain breakfast during school hours. The bill also includes provisions to bring certain other amendments to the Education Act.
