President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the First Lady, Fazna Ahmed have concluded their official visit Mauritius and returned to the Maldives.

On his visit, President Solih met with the Acting President of Mauritius, Paramasivum Pillay Barlen Vyapoory, as well as with the Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth, to discuss approaches to progress the bilateral relations and increase cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.

The President and First Lady also actively attended the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) which are being held this year in the city of Port Louis, Mauritius. In addition to attending the opening ceremony as honored guests, the President and First Lady attended several of the sporting events held as part of the games and enthusiastically cheered on the Maldivian athletes.

The Maldivian Women’s Table Tennis Team won Gold yesterday while the Men’s Badminton Team won Bronze.
