Maldives national futsal team captain Mohamed Imran (Immi) has been named the best futsal player at the FAM Awards 2026.
The award is being presented for the first time to the Maldives’ best futsal player, with FAM’s previous football-specific awards last held in 2018.
The award comes after a successful year for Maldivian futsal. The national team won the inaugural SAFF Futsal Championship, defeating every team in the region to claim the title.
Imran played a key role in the historic campaign and was also named the best player of the SAFF tournament.
He also represented Gaafu Alif Dhaandhoo in the final of the Golden Futsal Challenge, the country’s biggest futsal tournament.
