Dhiraagu has introduced a range of special offers for its customers to mark the company’s 38th anniversary.
The offers were announced at a press conference held at Dhiraagu’s head office today. They include 38GB of free data for all prepaid and postpaid customers, valid for 24 hours and redeemable through the Dhiraagu app. Prepaid customers will also receive 38 minutes of free international direct dialling (IDD) calls to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Philippines and Indonesia.
The company also launched AiV, an artificial intelligence-powered service that answers and manages phone calls. Customers can subscribe to the service through the Dhiraagu app. Eligible Dhiraagu Fibre broadband customers can also upgrade their existing routers to the latest ONT routers free of charge.
As part of the anniversary promotions, Dhiraagu Elite Club members can receive daily vouchers for 38 days from 12 partner outlets. The first 38 customers to visit each participating outlet will be eligible for a voucher, which can be used at cafés, restaurants, retail outlets and holiday destinations.
Speaking at the press conference, Dhiraagu’s new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Valdemar Ferradaz, said the company had played an important role in the Maldives’ economic and industrial development.
He highlighted Dhiraagu’s contribution to connecting the country’s islands and enabling digital transformation, and expressed gratitude to its customers, partners, the Government and employees for their continued support.
Since its establishment in 1988, Dhiraagu has played a leading role in developing the Maldives’ digital infrastructure. The company was the first to provide 100 per cent mobile coverage across the country and introduced 5G services, which now cover 73 per cent of the population. Dhiraagu also provides fibre broadband services to all inhabited islands.
