Bank of Maldives (BML) has been named the platinum title sponsor of the World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean 2026, scheduled to be held in the Maldives on 27 September.

The sponsorship agreement was signed by BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef and Visit Maldives Corporation Managing Director Abdulla Yasir.

More than 40 leading representatives from the tourism and hospitality industry are expected to attend the ceremony, alongside representatives of hotels, resorts, tourism boards, governments, investors, airlines and international travel media.

BML said the partnership will strengthen its engagement with key tourism industry stakeholders and support the development of the Maldives tourism sector.
