The Maldives have been drawn in Group A of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival 2026, as FIFA expands its efforts to promote youth football.

The tournament, focused on boys under 15 this year, will be held in Azerbaijan from 22 to 31 October.

The Maldives will compete in Group A alongside France, Kosovo, Estonia, South Africa and Caribbean side Anguilla.

FIFA has opened participation in its annual U-15 competition to all member associations.

The 2027 edition will be dedicated to girls’ football, with a Women’s U-15 World Cup or Festival planned.
