Odi Sports Club defeated Buru Sports Club 4-1 in this afternoon’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League match at the National Stadium.

Odi took the lead in the eighth minute when Muzdaan Hassan headed in a corner delivered by Ahuzam Rasheed (Ahu).

Buru equalised shortly before half-time through Argentine forward Juan Eduardo Lescano, who scored from a corner.

Buru goalkeeper Hassan Alif made several important saves, including efforts from Odi’s Ahuzam, Muzdaan, Ibrahim Waheed Hassan (Ibbe) and Ahmed Aiham (Aihu).

Odi regained the lead in the 75th minute through substitute Mohamed Sahaau (Bale), who scored from outside the box.

Ahuzam and Ibbe then added two more goals in stoppage time to complete Odi’s 4-1 victory.

Odi have now defeated Buru in both of their meetings this season, having also won their President’s Cup encounter.
