The passenger on a motorcycle who entered a road in Male’ City illegally has been hit by a safety rail at a construction site that came loose in a gust of wind leaving the passenger bleeding from the head.

Maldives Police Service said that the incident took place around 12:10 a.m. last night in Henveiru where the road was closed for construction.

Police said that the injured man was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). And an investigation is underway into the incident.
