The government has announced plans to take action against resort operators who fail to pay rent and fines owed to the state.
The Ministry of Tourism said action will also be taken against tourism establishments whose operations have been suspended without approval from the ministry.
The ministry urged leaseholders to settle all outstanding rent and fines in accordance with their agreements.
Under the Tourism Act, resorts that fail to pay rent may be fined, while the government can also terminate their lease agreements.
