Maldives Police Service has said that they are working to form a joint investigation team with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery.

Responding to questions at the Parliament Committee to inform on the investigation into the MMPRC Scandal, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Riyaz said that an agreement is set to be signed at the end of the week to form a joint investigation team with the ACC and the Presidential Commission.

Riyaz said that although a joint team has not been formed so far, a combined effort was put forth in the investigation of the MMPRC Scandal; providing information and technical expertise to one another.

He said that no one is obstructing the MMPRC investigation and all government bodies are cooperating in providing information to the investigation.
