Maldives Zakat House has extended the application deadline for its Higher Education Scholarship and Special Scholarship Programme to 2:00 p.m. on 16 August, giving eligible applicants an additional month to apply.

The programme offers 40 scholarships for Maldivian students pursuing Master's and Doctoral studies in the Maldives and abroad. This includes scholarships for local and overseas study, five stipend-based scholarships for students studying in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and five scholarships for female doctors specialising in women's health.

Zakat House is also accepting proposals for fields of study not included in the scholarship list, provided applicants can demonstrate how their chosen field would contribute to the development of Maldivian Islamic society.

Applications must be submitted by email before the revised deadline.
