As part of Bank of Maldives' (BML) efforts to provide banking services to people living across the Maldives, the bank has expanded its banking network by launching services from seven additional branches.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated these branches at a ceremony held this morning.
The islands where these branches are located are:
- HA. Hoarafushi
- Sh. Kanditheemu
- R. Alifushi
- Lh. Hinnavaru
- ADh. Maamigili
- GA. Gemanafushi
- L. Maavah
BML stated that with these branches, the bank now operates a total of 55 branches across 20 atolls in the Maldives. This includes 17 branches opened over the past two years.
Speaking at today's ceremony, the bank's CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef stated that the growth achieved by Bank of Maldives is invested into expanding the bank's services within communities.
"The financial growth achieved by the bank allows us to invest in our network spread across the entire Maldives, giving us the opportunity to provide banking services close to every Maldivian. This will also make it easier for individuals and businesses to access the financial services they need, paving the way for their progress," Shareef said.
BML operates the largest banking network in the Maldives. This includes 55 branches across 20 atolls, 340 ATMs, alongside modern digital banking facilities.
