The official poster for Maldives Pro 2026, part of the International Bodyboarding Corporation (IBC) World Tour, was unveiled on Tuesday.

The poster was launched by Minister of Sports Abdulla Rafiu and President of the Bodyboarding Association of Maldives (MBBA), Hussain Nizam at a ceremony held today. Senior ministry officials, MBBA executive members and representatives from the Thulusdhoo Council also attended the event.

According to the MBBA, Maldives Pro 2026 will be held in K. Thulusdhoo from 12 to 21 August. The competition will feature the Men's Rising Series, Women's Prime Series and Men's Junior Rising Series divisions.

The Men's Rising Series champion will receive a prize of USD 20,000 and 2,000 world ranking points, while the Women's Prime Series champion will earn USD 25,000 and 3,500 ranking points. The Junior champion will receive USD 2,500 and 500 ranking points.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Rafiu said hosting the event in Thulusdhoo would help promote sports and tourism beyond Malé, adding that staging a world-class competition in the Maldives is a significant achievement.

MBBA President Hussain Nizam said the IBC World Tour returned to the Maldives following extensive efforts by the association and the Ministry of Sports. He added that hosting the competition in Thulusdhoo would further strengthen the island's reputation as a surfing destination while showcasing the Maldives to an international audience.

Maldives Pro was previously held in the Maldives in 2023 and 2024 as part of the IBC World Tour with One Online as the media partner.
