Minister of Education, Higher Education and Skills Development Dr. Ismail Shafeeu has announced that the total value of the government's ongoing school support infrastructure projects has reached MVR 2.98 billion.

The Minister shared this update at today's sitting of the People's Majlis, responding to a question from a member regarding development initiatives within the education sector.

He detailed that the current administration is executing a total of 210 projects.

Dr. Shafeeu further noted that these initiatives comprise more than 3,500 school support infrastructure facilities, including halls, libraries, and office buildings, alongside over 12,000 classrooms, counting those that have already been completed.

Out of the overall MVR 2.98 billion budget allocated for these projects, approximately MVR 600 million has been spent to date.
