Mega Maldives ordered to pay over USD 1 mln to MACL

Civil Court has ordered Mega Global Air Services Maldives (Mega Maldives) to pay over USD 1 million to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), as part of fines, airport service charge and development feeds.

The verdict states that Mega Maldives should pay USD 1.014 million in airport service charge and development fee to MIRA within 10 months.

In addition to this, the civil court verdict also added that a fine of USD 2,800 should also be paid within 10 months.

Due to financial constraints, Mega Maldives put a halt to their operations during May of 2017.
