The Bodyboarding Association of Maldives (MBBA) has announced that the Maldives Pro will return as part of the International Bodyboarding Corporation (IBC) World Tour.

The event will be held from August 12 to 21 in Thulusdhoo, Kaafu Atoll. The competition will feature the Men’s Rising Series, Women’s Prime Series Division, and Men’s Junior Rising Series Division.

Winners in the Men’s Rising Series will receive USD 20,000 and 2,000 world ranking points. The Women’s Prime Series champion will earn USD 25,000 and 3,500 points, while the junior division winner will receive USD 2,500 and 500 points.

The Maldives Pro has previously been held in the Maldives in 2023 and 2024 as part of the IBC World Tour. Organizers said both events were successfully conducted. One Sports served as the local media partner for the 2024 tournament.
