MNDF Coast Guard has provided assistance to a tug boat taking in water near Kaafu Atoll Feydhoofinolhu.

MNDF said that the vessel named “Marine Power 2318” had ten expatriate crew members and all are in good condition. The incident was reported around 10:16 a.m. and the Male’ Area Coast Guard divers were dispatched to rescue the vessel.

In reference to the owner of the vessel, MNDF said that the vessel began taking in water due to an issue with the blasters and they are working clear the water off the deck while the divers are inspecting the hull for damage.

MNDF said that the barge arrived in the Maldives today from India.
