Two people in connection with assisting the 14-year-old Shaim Abdulla who went missing from the Kudakudhinge Hiyaa orphanage, to evade the police.
While the Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameed has announced on Twitter that two people have been arrested, no further details were offered.
We have arrested two individuals who aided Shaim Abdulla to evade authorities and remain in hiding.

In a separate Tweet, the Commissioner said that is the responsibility of all citizens to help children who are in conflict with law and there is much to be done by the State to develop infrastructure and systems to help these children to become better citizens.
Shaim went missing from the orphanage on 18 June and the Maldives Police Service appealed to the public to find him on 20 June. After extensive searches, he was found at a residential house in Male’ City.
