MP for Hanimaadhoo constituency, Abdul Gafoor Moosa has said that theft is taking place within the current administration as well.
Speaking at the parliament, MP Gafoor said that 25 percent of the state budget so far has been spent of corruption and theft.
He said that theft is taking place within the current administration and it does not have to be hidden. And defending the government does not mean hiding the theft by a person at a government company.
The MP for Hanimaadhoo constituency said that if a theft is noticed, it can be investigated and those who are involved in these thefts must know that the parliament will not try to defend them.
Gafoor said that everyone needs to work together with the support of the public if corruption is to be eradicated from the country.
