Maldives Police Service has said that they would seek legal action against the people who were hiding the 14-year-old Shaim Abdulla who went missing from the Kudakudhinge Hiyaa orphanage on 18 June 2019.

Police appealed to the public to find the boy on 20 June. After a long search, he was found at a residential house in Male’ City.

Today, the police said that an investigation is underway after which the people behind it will be prosecuted if any.

Yesterday, police said that Shaim was found during a search executed at a house believed to be where Shaim is with a court order following the information received to Police Intelligence.

To ensure the safety of the boy, he is currently in the care of the Maldives Police Service.
