The election for members of the Executive Committee of the Bar Council, formed to regulate legal professionals has been scheduled for July 13.

Elections Commission has opened the opportunity to contest for the President, Vice President and member of Bar Council on Monday. Forms and relevant documents for the elections will be accepted by the Elections Center (Old Jamaluddin Block) till 5:00pm coming Friday.

The election has been scheduled for July 13, Friday. Vote counting procedures will begin 30 minutes after the ballot closes. The official results will be publicised on the following day.

Lawyers with 10 years of experience will be able to compete for President and Vice President. Other conditions include being free from any allegations which may compromise the individuals integrity and being free from any criminal charges.

Lawyers with 5 years of experience will be able to compete to become a member of the Bar Council. Other conditions include being free from any allegations which may compromise the individuals integrity and being free from any criminal charges.
