The 14-year-old boy who went missing from the Kudakudhinge Hiyaa orphanage, Shaim Abdulla, has been found.

Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameed took to Twitter to announce that the boy was found at inside a residential house in Male’ City after police forced in to the house.

Shaim went missing on 18 June 2019 while in the custody of the state.

Criticism from the public were aimed towards the government, specifically to the Maldives Police Service and the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, when the 14-year-old went missing from the orphanage.
