Former Maldivian Islamic Minister and Chancellor of the Islamic University of the Maldives (IUM), Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has been appointed as the Head of the International Islamic Encyclopedia of Tolerance.
The project is led by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Sawt al-Hikma Institute where scholars with different specialties and researchers will be working together. The encyclopedia will cover the holy Quran, Hadith and Sira.

To be translated to various languages, the Encyclopedia is set to be completed within a period of one year.
