International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) 2019 has successfully wrapped up their first day.

Speaking to One Online, Managing Director of IMTM Hawwa Shiuna Khalid said that they received an overwhelming support on their first day. She added that the fair will also continue from 8:00am till 5:00pm tomorrow as well.

During a ceremony held at Farukolhufushi, Speaker of Parliament and Former President Mohamed Nasheed opened this year's event.

Over 50 leading tour operators and agencies will take part in the event, that will be held in Farukolhufushi. IMTM also revealed that various parties from 25 different nations will take part in it. A two day forum will also be held on sustainable tourism during the event.

This marks the second consecutive year that IMTM is being held. The first edition took place at Adaaran Huhuranfushi.

One Online also serves as the online media partner of IMTM 2019.
