The National Youth Conference 2025 commenced this morning with the participation of 93 youths from across the country. The event was inaugurated by Minister of Youth Empowerment, Innovation and Art Ibrahim Waheed at a ceremony held at the Youth Hub.
Speaking at the ceremony, the minister described the occasion as historic, noting that the Presidential Youth Advisory Board is bringing together youths from all atolls after a long time to discuss issues of national importance.
The conference is being held in collaboration with the Presidential Youth Advisory Board and the Ministry of Youth. Its main objective is to identify key concerns of young people, explore solutions, and gather input to help formulate a national youth policy.
According to the Ministry, workshops will be conducted during the conference. The closing ceremony is scheduled to be held privately tomorrow night.
