Ooredoo Fintech Maldives has partnered with Eeezap to offer services through its mFaisaa digital payment platform.
The partnership was officially announced at a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both sides. Ooredoo Fintech Maldives highlighted its intention to launch significant promotions for users and noted Eeezap’s strong presence in the Maldives as a multi-service super app that includes food delivery, grocery services and other daily conveniences.
Ooredoo’s CCO Hussain Niyaz emphasised its ongoing efforts to collaborate with Maldivian digital products, stating that its mFaisaa system is designed to evolve into a global payment gateway. Ooredoo also expressed that the expansion of such technologies would further strengthen local production and support Maldivian businesses.
Eeezap’s CEO and CFO Abdulla Miuvan Shareef noted that the partnership will create new opportunities for businesses engaged in food and household services, acknowledging Ooredoo’s key role in the country’s broader digital transformation.
Through this collaboration, Eeezap users will now be able to make secure and seamless digital payments via mFaisaa. Ooredoo considers the integration to be a major step in widening digital access across the Maldives. mFaisaa is already a widely trusted payment solution used by cafés, restaurants, guesthouses and households throughout the country, and the addition of Eeezap is expected to further enhance convenience for customers.
